Summer Internship Program

Career experience and networking before you even get your degree.

If you’re going to be starting your second-to-last or final year of studies and have an interest in the world of finance, this is the summer internship for you. We welcome students from all academic backgrounds and perspectives to join us as a summer intern, building towards your career and learning from the best in the business. Your progression is our priority.

Your development

You’ll begin your summer internship with an interactive induction (or orientation) program, introducing you to all aspects of life at �鶹��. Throughout your time with us as a summer intern, we’ll also hold further interactive, informative sessions to help grow your skills. And events like Lunch & Learns with our senior leaders and social networking with colleagues will give you an even greater understanding of what a career with us would be like.

From the moment you join one of our summer internships, you’ll be supported by our experienced Junior Talent team for anything you might need, along with your line manager and buddy. In addition to professional skills, you’ll also gain a network of colleagues and the opportunity to join our �鶹�� Graduate Talent Program if you excel in your summer internship.

You don’t need a degree in finance to be eligible for our summer internship, but we love performance-driven people who share their unique perspectives. Ideally, you’re a people person who doesn’t shy away from a good challenge. The world of finance is fast paced, but we’re known for thoughtful and well-defined solutions. Asia Pacific (APAC)

Our APAC summer internship applications open at different times depending on location. Roles are advertised for an initial period of four weeks and may remain open until filled. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early application is recommended. Summer internships for Australia and New Zealand start in December, while the rest start in June. You may submit a maximum of three applications across all our business divisions and APAC offices during the same academic year.

You're a full-time student starting your second-to-last year
You have less than two years of work experience

Switzerland

Applications for summer internships in Switzerland typically open in September. Roles are advertised for an initial period of four weeks and may remain open until filled. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early application is recommended. Our internships start in July. You may submit a maximum of three applications in total across all our business divisions and Swiss offices during the same academic year

You're starting your second-to-last or final year of study
You’re on track for a grade of 4.5 or equivalent (Swiss grading)

UK and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Applications for our summer internships in the UK and EMEA typically open in September. Roles are advertised for an initial period of four weeks and may remain open until filled. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early application is recommended. Our internships start in June in the UK and in Jersey. You may only apply for one program within the UK and one in the rest of EMEA (excluding Switzerland) during the same academic year.

You're starting your second-to-last or final year of study
You’re on track for a 2:1 (or equivalent) in your first undergraduate degree

Applications for our summer internships in the US open at various times during the year. Roles are advertised for an initial period of four weeks and may remain open until filled. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early application is recommended. Our internships start in June. You may submit a maximum of three applications across all our business divisions and US offices during the same academic year.

Requirements

You're starting your second-to-last year of undergraduate study (some divisions also accept master's candidates)
You have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Since we don’t ask for cover letters in most regions, let your CV do all the talking to reflect who you are. We want to hear about your hobbies, your interests, academic achievements, work experience and what you’ve learned from these experiences.

We have four types of online assessments:

Verbal reasoning
Numerical reasoning
Inductive-logical reasoning

The assessments you’re assigned will be dependent on the business area you’re applying to. They need to be completed within seven days of receiving the invitation email and should be completed only by the applicant. Please note, you won’t be able to complete the assessments after the deadline. You also won’t be able to retake them, so make sure you can focus.

Why do companies use online assessments?

The abilities and behaviors we learn about from them are a great way to get unbiased information about the candidate.

What are the verbal or numerical reasoning tests about?

These look at how you draw logical conclusions from complex verbal or numerical information from tables and charts.

And the inductive-logical reasoning test?

This is a fun one. You’ll be looking at logical rules in patterns and then applying them to different sets of patterns.

After passing our online assessments (and if you’re a good fit), you might receive a link to record your video interview. This is where you can make a great first impression. Dress smartly, keep good eye contact with the camera and be concise.

Almost there! The last stage of the process is our final round virtual or in-person interviews.

Be sure to research �鶹�� and the business area you’re applying to. Go beyond the facts and figures.

Also, don’t be afraid to ask us questions during the interview. Let’s get a conversation going. When you speak about your experiences, give us examples and tell us a story. The outcomes, opportunities and what you might have done differently. As assessors, we want to connect with you.
